About the programs coordinator

The position is part of the Professional Learning Programs team and enables the delivery of professional learning programs for Goodstart employees nationally. Funding for professional learning is part of Goodstart’s commitment to its people, as well as a reinvestment into social purpose initiatives and programs.

The programs coordinator is based at our national centre support office in Brisbane (Murarrie).

Key deliverables:

  • Support the creation of a national, yearly professional learning plan and calendar
  • Development of a communications & engagement plan, as well as internal communications for individual learning programs
  • Project management of professional learning programs or events, including management of budgets from $500 to $500,000
  • Development and delivery of reporting (e.g. registrations, budget vs. actual, risks & issues, number of learning programs delivered). The audience of reporting ranges from colleagues, to management, executives and the board
  • Manage working relationships with venues, caterers, other suppliers (e.g. printers) and contractors
  • Review learning programs and events to enable continual improvement of programs, delivery, business rules, processes and systems

  • You have experience coordinating a number of projects or initiatives, with sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • You have worked in a role(s) coordinating across multiple states/locations
  • You may be an experienced event manager/coordinator, or have coordinated events or training as part of previous roles, or have hospitality experience
  • You can think both creatively and analytically
  • You are confident to communicate with employees, senior management, stakeholders and suppliers whether in person, over the phone or in writing
  • You hold a Bachelor in Marketing, Communications, Business, Events or related qualification (required)
