About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Research & New Business Development Manager to join our team. This six month fixed term contract role will develop and implement research and business development activities which support revenue growth and diversification for MTC Australia.

Reporting to the CEO you will:

• Undertake research activities to provide the necessary market information for the development of new services and evaluate MTC’s competitive position in respect to these services.
• Develop appropriate models and frameworks that will support the integration of services in a collaborative delivery model across MTC.
• Generate and evaluate new service ideas and suggestions, investigate market opportunities and assess the effect on markets for existing services
• Evaluate the commercial viability of new services and forecast potential sales.
• Plan and co-ordinate the development and introduction of new services including pricing, marketing and resourcing required to operationalise the delivery of new services.
• Develop business cases for approval.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (preferably business/commerce related) and/or extensive experience in a senior research and development role.
• Proven knowledge of contemporary research techniques, business development and marketing practices
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective partnerships with a wide range of key stakeholders and the ability to prepare high level reports and business cases
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and consultation skills
• Problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills to identify and respond to key issues and develop innovative and creative solutions to complex matters
• High level judgment, flexibility and foresight to anticipate, prioritise and resolve issues in line with organisation requirements and diverse stakeholder needs.
• Knowledge of the recruitment, VET and community services sector will be highly regarded.
