About the role

The Brotherhood of St Laurence drives change that promotes a compassionate and fair society where everyone has a sense of belonging. The Child, Youth and Families Division focuses on the early year’s transition as a time when children are most at risk of ongoing disadvantage and social exclusion. It takes an early intervention approach and builds family and community capacity to support their children.

The Senior Manager ECEI is responsible for the establishment, implementation and management of the NDIS ECEI approach in the North East Melbourne area. In doing so you will develop good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver services to the required quality standard. Leading a team of specialists, the role will build a focussed and effective team.

An experienced leader, you are enthusiastic about supporting and empowering children at this crucial stage and have an understanding of childhood best practice principles. You pride yourself on your ability to develop key partnerships within the community and have a proven track record building highly effective teams successful in delivering services. You thrive in a changing environment under the NDIS and are excited by the opportunity it presents to reform early intervention and make a meaningful difference.

People with a lived experience of disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Applications close midnight Thursday the 6 October 2016. If you are successful in securing an interview, these will be held the week commencing Monday the 10 October 2016, with an expectation of the position commencing mid-November.
