Part time, 0.6 – 0.8 EFT for 12 months

Based at Footscray

 

We are looking for a qualified, experienced Consumer Consultant who has experience in community engagement and codesign practice, who possesses excellent communication skills, assessment and planning skills.

 

Our programs are delivered within a framework of strengths-based, recovery-oriented practice, consumer, carer and community participation and codesign and a whole of health approach to care. We achieve consistent, high quality recovery-oriented services using the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) and ensure competency in trauma informed care and family centred practice, delivered in a client directed purchasing environment.

As the Consumer Consultant – Codesign you will work closely with members of the Practice, Research and Consumer Leadership Program to implement a comprehensive codesign plan, a plan that creates pathways for greater involvement of consumers and families across cohealth community mental health programs.

You will enable consumers and carers of the service to provide greater input to service codesign. You will have a key role in developing codesign systems, leading codesign projects and providing secondary consult to teams about local codesign activities

 

To be successful for this role you will have;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience;
  • Lived experience of mental illness and recovery;
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, client, carer and community participation and codesign;
  • Experience in community engagement including demonstrated ability to facilitate groups, meetings and consultations;
  • Experience in developing codesign systems and processes and managing and analysing data;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals, service providers and groups; and
  • An understanding of the principles of recovery, family centred and inclusive practice, trauma informed practice and approach and the collaborative recovery model.

This position will be paid under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2015, Social Worker, Class1 Year 7 (SACS Level 4, Pay point 4).
