About the role

FPC are seeking an Associate Consultant or Consultant to join our team. Associate Consultants / Consultants are responsible for all areas related to the delivery of projects, including writing tenders, collecting and analysing data and writing reports. Consultants are expected to have more experience across each of the responsibility areas and remuneration for the role reflects this.

We are looking for someone who shares our values and interests, while also bringing their own experience and backgrounds to the team. As FPC grows the suite of work we are undertaking has grown.

We are interested in someone who has skills and experience working in and undertaking research and evaluation projects in one or more of the following content areas:

  • public health / health promotion
  • social impact
  • behaviour change
  • complex systems / systems-based approaches
  • community development

You will need to be highly adaptable and able to work with limited supervision (though we undertake all our projects in teams). While you are experienced in the above areas you will also likely work on projects outside of these areas in line with current engagements.

You will need to have medium to high-level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Conditions of employment

  • A part-time engagement option for the position is available (at least 0.6 FTE).
  • Remuneration for the role starts from $67,000 plus superannuation (pro rata for part time). We anticipate negotiating the position and salary of the engagement with the successful applicant depending on their qualifications and experience.

  • The role is based in Melbourne, however we undertake work all over Australia and so regional and interstate travel may be required.
