About the role

The Children’s Cancer Institute is looking to significantly build on its strategic fundraising activity and philanthropic income, they are seeking to fill this significant role within the Fundraising and Marketing Department who will be pivotal in ensuring long term success at a time of significant growth across the organisation.

The Major Giving Executive will be responsible for helping to achieve the Institute’s ambitious Zero Childhood Cancer Campaign fundraising target of $12m by 2019, in collaboration with partner organisations Kids Cancer Centre and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, and agency XPonential Philanthropy. He/she will also be responsible for growing the Institute’s own donor pool, particularly those at the mid-value level. Experience in major gift fundraising coupled with exceptional relationship management skills and robust communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion and belief in the mission and work of the Institute and will be driven and ambitious but will thrive in an innovative, collaborative and positive team-orientated environment.
