The Position:
Using a team approach, the Team Leader will:
• Manage the day to day work of a team of multidisciplinary Family Services Practitioners within the catchment. This work is particularly focused on family services casework, including assertive outreach, in home support, group work, social inclusion and brokerage within a case management framework.
• Participate in program and policy development and implementation as directed.
• Work in partnership with other Family Services Team Leaders to enhance and develop service delivery.

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Specialist and/or related behavioural sciences at degree level with relevant experience; or associate diploma level with substantial experience in the relevant service stream, or less formal qualifications with specialized skills sufficient to perform at this level. You will have:
• Demonstrated ability to support and supervise multidisciplinary staff to maintain performance and quality standards.
• Highly developed risk assessment and risk management skills in relation to children within vulnerable families.
• Extensive familiarity with a wide range of theoretical approaches and experience in understanding the experience of infants, children and their parents who utilise the Family Services program.
• A knowledge of the client group within the catchment area and their needs.
• Commitment to supporting organisational change.
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, and to show leadership in program development, implementation and evaluation.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
