About the role
Due to an internal restructure an outstanding professional opportunity is available for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team setting the vision for and leading our national Raphael Services, delivering perinatal and infant mental health (PIMH) and other related services, across Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
St John of God’s (SJG) Raphael Services are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians and we provide specialised mental health (including psychiatric) services to mothers, fathers and families in the perinatal and infancy stages up to the child’s fourth birthday.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Social Outreach, the successful candidate will:
• Develop the vision and strategy for all current and future services within Social Outreach which provide early intervention in perinatal care and early childhood development.
• Lead all aspects of the effective delivery and growth of Raphael Services across Australia, and create the opportunity for additional initiatives in this specialised area.
• Grow the SJG Social Outreach brand as a specialist provider of PIMH and early intervention services, attracting funding from government and philanthropic sources and partnerships to allow the continued expansion of our services nationally.
This position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis (working 76 hours a fortnight) based either in Melbourne or Perth.
The Requirements
• Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care
• Tertiary qualification in health related profession and registered with a relevant professional body (or eligible for registration)
• Ten years’ experience in relevant health services delivery i.e. in areas such as mental health, obstetrics and newborn or paediatrics
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing health services including multidisciplinary teams across geographic locations
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning/direction of national Raphael Services and PIMH services
• Ability to collaborate to influence outcomes, drive strategy and grow service delivery
• Demonstrated experience in leading service operations to meet strategic objectives and monitor performance and budgets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable ability to manage performance and behaviour of caregivers in keeping with SJGHC Values
• Demonstrable ability to build national networks and partnerships to support service delivery
• High level organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to travel interstate
