Manager – Mental Health

Working for a well established and reputable community services organisation, this exciting appointment will be tasked with the strategic growth and operational delivery of mental health services across a national footprint. This will include navigating the organisation through the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and identifying new business opportunities which will support individuals in the community across a broad a range of mental health needs.

This role will be responsible for the development, financial control and operational management of all mental health services. This will include but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring current customers and services delivered under state funding contracts (Personal Helpers and Mentors Program (PHaMs) and Partners in Recovery (PIR) are maintained and transitioned successfully into services deliverable under the NDIS
• Building strategic partnerships with relevant government, non-government and key industry stakeholders that support growth opportunities for mental health services
• Identifying and building service models to deliver new and expanded services under the NDIS
• Developing and managing the mental health budget ensuring business profitability and sustainability
• Overseeing the planning and implementation of customer engagement strategies
• Ensuring services are of a high quality, comply with legislative and regulatory requirements and meet customer expectations
• Establishing the organisation within the community as a preferred provider for customers and their families
• Ensuring evidence based approaches are used and that there is evaluation of programs and services to monitor outcomes and quality
• Monitoring economic, political, social and competitor trends to identify service development opportunities
• Leadership and management of staff – overseeing all areas of human resources (professional development, training, performance management and recruitment).

Key Requirements:

• Suitable candidates will possess a demonstrated track record in mental health service delivery
• Experience in budget control and staff management is essential
• A proven track record developing relationships and strategic partnerships is essential
• An understanding of service development and design is required
• Tertiary qualifications in human services or related field would be advantageous
