About the role
Due to new and exciting projects moving forward within the eLearning and Educational Technologies team, a newly created role has become available. Along with providing high levels of technical and administrative support to internal and external users, the Learning ManagementSystem (LMS) Specialist will play a pivotal part in working with the project team to transform the existing LMS into an innovative and sophisticated learning space.
Key responsibilities:it
- Provide on-going technical, administrative and maintenance support for ISQ’s LMS
- Provide IT support to internal and external users with an exceptional level of customer service
- Assist in the administration and project coordination of multiple project plans to be implemented- you will track project deliverables ensuring key milestones are met within set timeframes
- Collaborate with the eLearning and Educational Technologies team to redesign ISQ’s existing LMS- you will participate in all aspects of the system upgrades, research and resolve functionality issues, create user guides and liaise with LMS service providers to facilitate best practices
- Develop the front-end LMS user interface with a focus on usability
- Perform user acceptance testing of all online modules
- Perform rigorous testing of enhancements and new functionalities to the LMS
- Reporting and analysis functions for all aspects of system performance
- Document and manage processes and procedures as developed to implement standardised practices
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an LMS Administrator (Desire2Learn experience preferred, but not essential)
- Minimum of 2 years experience writing and/or editing technical documentations- ie. user guides, instruction manuals etc.
- Project coordination and administration experience
- Demonstrated experience in designing practical user interfaces
- Sound knowledge of User Experience principles in the design of learning spaces
- Working knowledge of HTML will be highly regarded
