About the role

Role Purpose / Responsibility:

– With guidance from the Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager, implement a fundraising program to support the Institute’s research programs and initiatives Inducing primary and transplantable tumors in mice
­- Develop a portfolio of viable funding opportunities at all levels
­- Identify and manage a portfolio of prospective individual donors, corporate donors, Foundations and Trusts
­- Prepare and submit an annually agreed number of compelling written proposals that request prospective donors to make a major gift to the Institute
­- Ensure existing donors are well-stewarded and appropriately recognised by the Institute
­- Identify research champions and work collaboratively with researchers to identify and implement philanthropic opportunities
­- Ensure approaches to major prospects and solicitations are coordinated across the External Relations Department
­- Work with colleagues to meet the Institute’s philanthropic campaign goal, while building long-lasting relationships with donors and prospective donors.

About You:

To be successful in this role you are expected to have:
­- An experience in business development and consultative selling techniques and able to hit the ground running
­- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and impeccable character and integrity
­- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
­- Well-organised and results-focused, comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.

Salary:
Salary range is $94,634 – $101,337 per annum.

Duration of Appointment:
This is a full time appointment for 2 years with the prospect of renewal.
