Senior Role and Remunerated Accordingly !! POSITON AND PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
Woodville Alliance together with local organisation’s established the Hope+ initiative using collective impact strategies to address youth disadvantage particularly in the area of youth unemployment. Hope+ aims to strengthen the Fairfield Community’s overall capacity to build strong opportunity pathways for young people into employment, training and education. The program and has been a catalyst for bringing youth and employment service providers together to work collectively on solutions to improve outcomes for young people. This role will build on this established work and will focus on working with partner agencies to establish and maintain senior level engagement and collaborations with community organisations, government bodies and business.
Additionally, while Hope+ is the priority initiative for this position, the role will also seek opportunities to develop and manage a range of innovative and collaborations targeting young people, families and other priority communities.
KEY OBJECTIVES ARE:
– Build collaboration and partnerships and engage young people, other organisations and the community in developing holistic solutions to address disadvantage, youth disengagement and unemployment.
– Manage a research partnership with the University of Western Sydney and coordinate research and community consultation and analysis, to ensure programs are needs based and effectively targeted to young people who need them most.
– Working with partners, improve program design, extend existing programs and develop innovative initiatives
– Increase funding for collective initiatives that address disadvantage and improve social and economic opportunities for disengaged young people.
ESSENTIAL – See PD for full list
1. Tertiary qualifications in human services or related field
2. Senior level experience in community development, collaboration and partnerships with demonstrated success in achieving outcomes for disadvantaged communities. Experience with ‘collective impact’ models is favourable but not essential.
3. Demonstrated understanding of socio economic disadvantage and factors contributing to youth unemployment and best practice models to address youth unemployment.
