About the role
The role
Reporting to the Fundraising Director, the Bequests Manager will be a key member of the growing fundraising team
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a bequests strategy and annual business plans to grow revenue
- Develop a program of engagement activities for current and prospective bequest donors
- Correspond efficiently with solicitors, executors, accountants, trustees and other relevant parties to ensure appropriate administration of wills and timely estate distribution
- Provide training and support to state/territory bequest staff
Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop and deliver campaigns and collateral
Skills required
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple programs
- An effective communicator with strong presentation skills
- High level relationship building/management skills
- An initiator and influencer and competent networker
- Strong background in strategy development and execution of bequest programs
- Proven experience in developing and managing stewardship programs
- Demonstrated experience and ability to analyse data in order to generate and cultivate leads Track record in successfully achieving financial targets and reporting to management
