Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) is the national peak body representing occupational therapists in Australia, with 7000+ members nationally.

OTA provides services to members encompassing the full range of Association activities, including support of communities of occupational therapy practice, interest groups and regional groups, professional practice support, lobbying and advocacy around issues affecting the profession and timely provision of information to members through publications and electronic media. As a member based association, we rely on membership to support these key activities and support the profession of occupational therapy, which is the 2nd fastest growing job in Australia.

About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is based in our office in Western Sydney. However, a portion of the role is external facing meaning this role would not be entirely office based. This multi-faceted role is responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders; promoting the products and services of the association; working with the professional development coordinator to ensure that the professional development program is of high quality and meets the needs of members in NSW/ACT; budget management; team management and overseeing the overall operations in NSW/ACT.

The Manager NSW/ACT reports to the National Manager: Operations and Membership and will be instrumental in uplifting the Association’s profile to members and future members in NSW and ACT and developing a pipeline of future members.

ABOUT YOU
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with hands on experience in membership based or service based organisations and building relationships with customers/members. You will have demonstrated experience in developing relationships with external stakeholders, managing small teams especially through times of organisational change and be comfortable in delivering presentations and promoting OTA at local events and conferences. Experience in health or allied health professional associations/peak bodies will be considered an advantage but not essential.
