The National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) is an Australian Government initiative, managed by the Butterfly Foundation for Eating Disorders. The primary purpose of the NEDC is to develop and maintain a nationally consistent approach to the prevention and management of eating disorders. The NEDC also makes evidence-based information accessible to a wide range of audiences across Australia.

About the role

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, adept at relationship management, with strong customer service skills. You will have a minimum of two-three years’ experience working with RTOs, education providers and professional associations, thorough which you have built up your thorough knowledge and understanding of accreditation policies and processes in the professional development or vocational training context. You are skilled at both creating and delivering professional development resources through a variety of media, including e-learning initiatives. You possess tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences or adult education; have well developed communication skills and excellent attention to detail. This role is for a fixed term, full time contract position until 30th June 2019, with the possibility of an extension. A part time role may be considered for the right candidate.

Essential

• Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, adult education or community development
• Strong relationship management, customer service and follow up skills; including demonstrable experience dealing with RTOs, education providers and professional associations
• Knowledge of and experience in accreditation policies and processes in relation to education, and/or vocational training programs
• Experience creating and delivering accredited and non-accredited professional development or training, including experience in developing and facilitating e-learning initiatives, for example; webinars, blended learning, video streaming
• Experience in delivering presentations to a variety of audiences (e.g. health professionals, general community) and proficiency in incorporating ways to improve and enhance the training delivery model/methodology
• Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities, consultation and other initiatives that support ongoing partnership and collaboration
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in translating technical information for a wide range of audiences
• Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
• Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating projects successfully and within agreed budget, scope and timeframes
• Highly developed computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and online applications
• Understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice and their application in a health context
• Ability to undertake some inter and intra-state travel and work outside business hours as required
• An understanding of eating disorders and body image issues and their impact on mental and physical health
• Current, full (unrestricted) Australian Drivers Licence
