About your environment Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. The McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer is a joint initiative of Cancer Council and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Its mission is to contribute to the effective use of law for cancer prevention, treatment, supportive care and research globally. The McCabe Centre conducts research, policy development and training, and develops and disseminates materials on the relationship between law and cancer control. The McCabe Centre team comprises staff in Melbourne and Regional Coordinators based in Fiji, Kenya and the Philippines. The Centre runs a unique international legal training program, collaborates with key international organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), and is a WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Knowledge Hub.

•Part time (0.8FTE) fixed term position for 3 years – St Kilda Road, Melbourne

About your opportunity

We are seeking an Office Manager to join the McCabe Centre team. Reporting to the Director, your role is to:
•Manage the Centre’s business processes to ensure compliance with relevant finance and business policies and procedures, and efficiency in day to day operations
•Coordinate the Centre’s international legal training events throughout the year, including administration, logistics and implementation, liaising with international program participants to enable attendance and engagement
•Collaborate with Office Managers from other Divisions and the Office of the CEO, to ensure organisational deliverables are met
•Play an integral role supporting a highly skilled legal team, applying your experience in administration or project support to a varied position.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:
•A Diploma qualification in business administration, office management or related; or demonstrated equivalent experience providing exceptional administrative and/or project support to a variety of projects or programs including experience in finance administration
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate training events, including event logistics, administration and implementation
•Ability to facilitate relationships with key stakeholders including government officials, culturally diverse training program participants and supporters.
•A can-do attitude with the ability to identify and communicate process improvements, and manage competing needs and priorities.

What we can offer you

This part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed term position for three years provides a salary within range $58,002 – $64,192 pa (pro rata for part-time) plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card. We also offer a flexible and friendly work environment, social and wellbeing activities and a location close to public transport.
