About the organisation
About the role
• Make a genuine difference to the lives of some of Australia’s most disadvantaged young people.
• Lead the national implementation of a peer to peer reading program for primary school students
• Work with an inspiring and passionate team, central CBD location.
The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. As a Program Implementation Analyst, you will be pivotal to securing this outcome for more young Australians as they support each other through the Student to Student (S2S) program. As a peer to peer reading program, S2S is designed to improve the reading ability of students in years 3 to 8.
Leading the S2S Program, as Program Implementation Analyst, you will be responsible for leading this evidence based program in a variety of TSF communities across Australia. The role will include program planning, resourcing and support in collaboration with our community based teams to ensure successful delivery.
A day in the life of a Program Implementation Analyst might look like this, but every day can be different:
• Managing relationships across the organisation to support quality program implementation
• Leading the development of an implementation plan for the program to ensure on time high quality delivery in consultation with all program stakeholders
• Ensuring delivery teams have access to the up-to-date tools necessary for effective program delivery
• Managing on-time program communication through appropriate channels, including the intranet, ensuring program resources are up to date and readily available for delivery teams.
• Providing guidance and monitoring of program-focused activities of State based Program Specialists, including assisting with local planning and trouble-shooting.
• Constantly looking for ways to improve and enhance the processes and systems used to deliver the program for greater quality and effectiveness.
It takes a special kind of person to be one of our Program Implementation Analyst’s. To be considered for this role, you will hold a tertiary education in social sciences or a related discipline or demonstrated experience working in a social science setting. Your proven experience in delivering projects or program management within a community setting, as well as your people management experience will enable you to thrive in this role. Your ability to communicate with, and build relationships across a range of stakeholders in geographically diverse locations will also enable you to make this role your own. You will be results oriented and will have used program evaluation tools and methodologies in previous roles.
Most of all, you genuinely care about helping some of the most disadvantaged young people in our society whilst remaining committed to working within the boundaries/focus of the role.
