Our Client, Churches of Christ Vic/Tas (CCVT) is a movement of more than 130 Communities of Hope and Compassion spread across Victoria and Tasmania. CCVT Inc is the coordinating body that exists to support these diverse communities of Hope and Compassion in their God Given and God driven calling to their local neighbourhoods.

About the role

The Board are now seeking to appoint a visionary leader to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place by their predecessor and bring with them their own set of unique skills to lead, inspire and grow the organization in Victoria and Tasmania. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the EO will provide the strategic leadership and drive to create and deliver the plans of the movement whilst ensuring CCVT’s culture, vision and passion remains strong, and the organization is run with excellence. In addition, the EO shall also be a Director of Community Care, Stirling Theological College, Churches of Christ Financial Services and is a trustee of the Properties Corporation. You will also be responsible for;

• Strategic Leadership and Mission Development.
• Vision and Communication, ensuring that the Board and Staff have sufficient and up to date information.
• The overall leadership and oversight of CCVT and the leadership team.
• Management and Risk Management, having oversight of all the operations on CCVT Inc.
• Compliance, Financial Management, Stewardship and Fundraising;
• Other duties requested or approved by the Board.

You will be a visionary leader who is strongly aligned to the values and mission of CCVT, who has the ability to inspire others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including church leaders, Donors and key stakeholders and have a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and mentored highly effective teams.
The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial orientation coupled with an ability to build capacity to sustain ongoing growth, as well as possessing a good mix between strategic and operational skills. You’re highly organized, have sound business and financial acumen, possess excellent people skills, are tertiary qualified in Theology and have a real passion for the local Church.

Your knowledge and understanding of the Christian Church landscape in VIC/TAS will be vital to this role as will your knowledge of the distinctive characteristics of Churches of Christ and its unique ethos. This is one of those great opportunities for someone who wants to make a real difference and use their skill and talent to transform lives by helping to build healthy communities of hope and compassion through local Churches and associated entities.
