Organisation Name : Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV)
FCAV is the peak body for Victorian foster carers. Established in 1992, we are a not-for-profit organisation working towards better outcomes for foster carers and the children in their care. Carer KaFÉ, a program designed to improve and expand kinship and foster carer training Victoria-wide. In September 2016 the Victorian Government announced $2.12 million funding over two years to a Kinship and Foster Care Learning and Development Strategy. Carer KaFÉ is hosted by the Foster Care Association of Victoria and supported by a governing reference group. Organisations represented on the Governing Reference Group are the: Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) Kinship Carers Victoria (KCV) Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) Victorian Aboriginal Children and Young People’s Alliance Carer KaFÉ will support a logical learning progression for carers. We are working with agencies and training providers to develop and implement face-to-face training sessions and online training.

About the role

An exciting new role has been established to support the state-wide foster and kinship care learning and development strategy. It is intended to assist the project team by undertaking a variety of project tasks.

The Project Administrator will be based at the Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) Office, located at Smith St Collingwood.

The successful applicant’s knowledge and experience will include:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience inputting and analysing data using Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met
• The ability to work with a variety of stakeholders with diplomacy, tact and compassion.

This position is 15-20 hours per week (hours are negotiable) for a 5 month project role (current funding is through until end June 2018 with a possibility of extending). The salary for this position is $60,670 pro rata (including Superannuation).
