About the organisation
The Centre is Victoria's peak body for child and family services.
The Centre has been funded to establish and run Fostering Connections, a project that brings together all of Victoria’s foster care agencies to deliver a unified campaign and brand to raise awareness of foster care and make it easier for people interested in becoming a carer to take the first step.
It includes a central website, 24/7 enquiry, line and centralised database which captures rich data for agencies regarding prospective and current Victorian carers.
About the role
Key Accountabilities
Enquiry line
- Overall responsibility for incoming enquiries through enquiry line and website , adopting a customer service approach and providing consistent, high quality service to callers in a manner that encourages them to proceed with the enquiry process;
- Collect and document caller information, explain the foster care referral and accreditation process and appropriately and equitably allocate leads to agencies;
- Recognise, document and alert the PM to trends in caller enquiries;
- Recommend process improvements; and
- Document and lodge out of scope calls with Child Protection when appropriate
Project administration
- Provide high level administrative support to the Project Manager including coordination of meetings and committees, meeting records and actions, collation and distribution of papers in advance of meetings, diary and travel management and coordination of events;
- Reporting support, undertake research and prepare draft presentations, submissions, decision papers and other correspondence to a high standard; Establish and improve administrative processes;
- Manage project social media, write and edit effective and engaging copy and web content to support campaign;
- Maintain files and records of work undertaken by the Project team;
- Maintaining Project WIP documentation and monitoring deadlines;
- Proactively manage issues as they arise; and Undertake other duties as required by the Project Manager.
General
- Work collaboratively with other staff at the Centre.
