About the organisation
The St Vincent de Paul Society is a member and volunteer-based organisation that has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in the areas of homelessness, mental health, disability, financial counselling, supported accommodation, food provision, refugees and migrants and addiction counselling in NSW for more than 130 years. Their work is funded by all levels of government, generous support from the community and 250 Retail Centres across NSW.

This role provides a ‘greenfield’ opportunity for an experienced Head of Procurement to provide leadership and vision in setting the direction for procurement across the organisation. This will involve the development and delivery of efficient and effective procurement planning, sourcing and contract management. To be successful in this role, you will bring a highly consultative and collaborative leadership style, commercial acumen and a comprehensive knowledge of emerging trends and practices in procurement.
You will have a track record of success in assessing, developing and implementing full end to end procurement practices within a large complex organisation, ideally with geographically dispersed operations. Your success will have been supported by a passion for sharing the true value of procurement and exceptional communication skills.
A tertiary qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration will be desirable.
