About the role
The new role of Independent Chair, is a remunerated role, representing WIFVC as a whole, not any one agency or member. Providing regional leadership on state-wide family violence priorities, you will plan and chair the Regional Committee meetings, harnessing the strengths and knowledge of all members to ensure goals and strategic priorities are developed. Supporting and leading the Governance Group, you will establish robust policies and processes, bring clarity to decision making and promote a culture of enquiry and mutual respect.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Chair with exceptional stakeholder management skills. The ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationships in a complex human services or related context is essential. With the credibility and political nous to navigate the multiplicity of issues arising from family violence reforms, you will actively promote constructive cross-sector partnerships and influence public policy debates.
