Our Client, Kids Hope Australia is a Christian based ministry that partners with Churches and schools to positively change the lives of vulnerable children through consistent one to one mentoring relationships throughout Australia. KHA is now Australia’s largest early intervention, primary school-based mentoring program for vulnerable and or disadvantaged primary school children.

The Board are now seeking to appoint a visionary leader to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place by their predecessor and bring with them their own set of unique skills to lead, inspire and grow the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide the drive to raise funds and grow the financial and people resources to enable sustained growth that facilitates mentoring of many more children. The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership to create and deliver the plans of the organisation whilst ensuring KHA, vision and passion remains strong, and the organization is run with excellence. The CEO works in collaboration with the Board to ensure the ongoing governance, risk management, sustainability and growth of the organization in line with their strategic plans.

You will also be responsible for;

  • Introducing and managing key partnerships and stakeholder relationships,
  • Maximizing the effectiveness of the network of Churches, schools, mentors and program coordinators.
  • Initiating and managing marketing, fundraising and program expansion functions to achieve targets.
  • Staff coaching, management and development
  • Compliance, program evaluation and financial management.

 

You will be an astute servant leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this Christian charity, who has the unique ability to inspire others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors and church leaders and have a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and mentored highly effective teams.

The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial orientation coupled with an ability to build capacity to sustain ongoing growth, as well as possessing a good mix between strategic and operational skills. You’re highly organized and able to inspire others, have sound business and financial acumen, possess excellent people skills, are tertiary qualified and have a passion for helping people. Ideally you will have proven experience within the not-for-profit or Education sector.

Your knowledge and understanding of the Christian landscape in Australia will be vital to this role as will your willingness to travel. This is one of those great opportunities for someone who wants to make a real difference and use their skill and talent to help transform lives by helping vulnerable and disadvantage children all over the nation.
