The Opportunity
The Leukaemia Foundation is on an exciting transformation journey to deliver greater impact to our key stakeholders and the Australian community.
We are looking for someone who has experience engaging, retaining and growing support from the community across our portfolio of peer to peer events and community fundraising.
This role is key to the execution of our national signature events including World’s Greatest Shave, U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year and Light the Night and will provide support and care to our community supporters in whatever they choose to do to fundraise.
You’ll get involved with event planning, logistics and communications and you’ll be the face of the Leukaemia Foundation in the community. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their career and specialise in relationship fundraising.
What are we looking for in this role?
- Demonstrated experience in securing and supporting community groups or individuals to fundraise
- Experience in public speaking and engaging people for a cause
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and undertake some travel
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and managing a diverse portfolio of opportunities
- Current Australian driver’s licence
It would be highly desirable if the person has:
- Demonstrated knowledge of FIA Code of Conduct/Standards of fundraising
- Knowledge of the charity health environment
