About the role

AN OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL LOVE
This role is a full time 12 month fixed term contract commencing asap.

You will provide planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting and compliance services to IWDA and its grants in accordance with professional accounting standards and contract terms.

You will contribute to the financial management and compliance of identified grant projects / programs. You will also provide technical guidance and capacity development to support the delivery of IWDA’s work internationally and the success of IWDA’s partners.

You will provide ongoing analysis of the business to support further planning and decisions for IWDA’s sustainability. You will liaise and support managers with budget setting and adherence to budget and will produce analyses and reporting for decision making purposes.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Accountant with a broad background in accounting and finance with significant experience in the not-for-profit sector, ideally in the international development space. You will share our passion for women’s rights and gender equality.

TO EXCEL IN THIS OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL HAVE:
Significant experience as an accountant with a broad accountancy and finance background
Proficiency in the development and management of organisational budgets
Attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
Well developed analytical and reporting skills
Experience in the delivery of successful financial and compliance capability building initiatives and delivery of training to support these
Significant experience with of a range of financial information management systems (preferably experience in NetSuite)
Professional and effective communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills
Relevant tertiary qualification, CA/CPA strongly preferred.
