Headspace Melton
Headspace Melton endeavours to deliver a family-inclusive and youth-directed model that celebrates young people, culture, community, diversity, access and engagement. The unique model is supported by a consortium of services led by Odyssey House Victoria. This consortium includes cohealth, Mackillop Family Services and Djerriwarrh Health. Each consortium member brings a wealth of unique expertise to Headspace Melton.
This position has been developed to coordinate and implement Headspace Melton, Community Awareness and Engagement Strategy. Supporting and assisting Headspace Melton local Youth Advisory Group to drive the headspace Melton Youth Participation Strategy. Playing a strategic role in maintaining relationships between headspace Melton and a range of stakeholders, as well as the wider community. collaborating with young people and their families, to promote headspace and mental health.
About You
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will possess:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated senior experience in community development, social work, health planning or promotion, public health, or policy advocacy;
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, health promotion, public health behavioural/social sciences, communications, marketing, education or youth work;
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both in a team and autonomously;
- Excellent computer skills, website management, social media, Adobe or other publishing software;
- Demonstrated experience engaging, motivating and facilitating groups; and
- Lived experience is highly regarded.
