SVA is the leading Venture Philanthropy organisation in Australia and has pioneered this approach since 2002. To date we have partnered with funders to better invest more than $50 million of funding and provide more effective support to over 88 social ventures. SVA’s Venture Philanthropy team seeks to grow evidence-based, innovative solutions with a path to long term social impact. We design and deliver projects and partnerships (“ventures”) that pilot, prove, share and scale new models to alleviate disadvantage.

The Project Manager, Venture Philanthropy reports directly to the Executive Director, Venture Philanthropy to support the management of SVA’s venture philanthropy portfolio. This includes development and delivery of governance processes, project management, measurement and evaluation and collaboration frameworks. You will support our external venture portfolio and key internal ventures, working collaboratively with Directors and Associate Directors across the Venture Philanthropy Team. This is a unique opportunity to support SVA’s Venture Philanthropy team and our external partners to create meaningful social change and in doing so, enable SVA to learn, inform and influence wider system change.
 
Who you are
You are a strong relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will come to the role with experience in coordinating and managing projects, including budgets and financial analysis and a proven track record in the development and implementation of governance processes and measurement and evaluation frameworks within a social sector context. A strong understanding of the challenges faced by early stage organisations and issue areas impacting disadvantage in Australia will see you achieve success in this role.
 
As a member of SVA’s Venture Philanthropy team you will collaborate with a highly committed team with a breadth of expertise across the business and social sectors. This unique role provides exposure to an interesting and rewarding scope of work addressing disadvantage in Australia.
