Supporting Queensland’s largest hospital, this commercially-focused Foundation exists to provide funds to augment many ground-breaking medical research programs.  It also works to fund the latest equipment, technology and training so dedicated staff can provide the best possible care for all of the hospital’s patients.

After an active and lengthy stewardship the present CEO is retiring, leaving the Foundation highly reputed, extremely well placed, with a healthy balance sheet and a provisional strategy in place until 2020.

But even for the most experienced CEO, the remit is far from simple.

To do this unique role proud, you will need to:

• understand change management in all its complexity,
• have a strong grip on modern fundraising, brand building and the integral components of building money raising campaigns that really work within a fiercely competitive environment,
• be able to review strategy, think it through, analyse ‘what is’ and suggest improvements,
• have the skills to build a fresh, performance-based culture among an existing team of 16+ dedicated people
• and bring a deep and pragmatic appreciation of the place that sustainable commercial revenue plays in today’s fundraising landscape.

You will bring excellent inter-personal and communications skills, an ability to move easily among all socio-economic levels and a driving sense of social justice.  Well-connected in both government and corporate circles, you are assured, confident, good-natured and a practised speaker but also essentially humble, ‘hands-on’ and quick to lend a hand anywhere that it’s needed.
