Dress for Success Mornington Peninsula is a not-for-profit organisation, based in Frankston, servicing the South East areas of Melbourne. We aim to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and tools to help them thrive in work and life.
About the role
As the Community Engagement Team Leader, you will provide the vital link between Dress for Success Mornington Peninsula and local employment services, community groups and schools. The position requires a high degree of passion and commitment and an understanding of the importance of volunteer roles. You will provide leadership and support to the team, have excellent communication and administrative skills and be a competent presenter.
Essential requirements:
- Commitment to at around 15 hours per week
- Ability to influence others while promoting our services
- Comfortable presenting to small groups, often via PPT presentations
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in person and on the phone
- Competent computer literacy
Reporting to the Operations Management Team, there will be monthly meetings with your team and on an ad hoc basis. You will also be involved in selection, training and mentoring of new volunteers.
