About the role
We’re seeking the services of a highly motivated professional who is passionate about making a difference through working with children and young people in foster care. The position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children, birth parents and foster carers.
Essential criteria
- tertiary qualification(s) in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related fields
- knowledge, skills and experience working with children and families
- demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- flexible to work some evenings and weekends
- current unrestricted driver’s licence
- current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain
Desirable criteria
- experience in Out of Home Care
- experience in Case Management
- working knowledge of the various legislations that govern Out of Home Care in NSW
- high-level ability to liaise, network and maintain solid working relationships with community groups and government departments
Remuneration
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
