About the organisation
With around 1,300 members Optometry Victoria (OV) is the professional association for Optometrists across Victoria. However, on October 29 2018, Optometry Victoria’s members voted overwhelmingly to amalgamate with their South Australian colleagues. This new entity, called Optometry Victoria South Australia, will commence operations from July 1 2019, and will be based at the current Optometry Victoria office in Carlton.
About the role
Given that the Optometry Victoria South Australia secretariat will be servicing the needs of members in two separate states, the role of Personal Assistant to the CEO and governance liaison will require a particularly high level of skill and diligence, as Directors of the Board will be drawn from across both states.
A highly professional and personable worker, the Personal Assistant to the CEO and governance liaison has carriage of many sensitive and confidential matters on behalf of Directors and the CEO, and is required to act with integrity at all times to meet business needs.
