Located at two sites (Hosier Lane and the vibrant Northern region of Melbourne) Youth Projects provides front line support to individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues and young people looking to re-engage with learning and employment.

The Role

Youth Projects is seeking an enthusiastic & experienced Manager to lead their  dedicated multi-disciplinary team at The Living Room with an understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable people (in particular people who are experiencing homelessness, people with mental health issues and adults who inject drugs).
  
They deliver a unique service on Melbourne’s premier Hosier Lane – imagine a service for people over 18 experiencing homelessness that has all the basics you need (a shower, internet, food, washing machines) whilst also delivering primary health such as access to doctors and nurses. They also have mental health nurses, dual diagnosis clinicians and a range of therapeutic supports. They combine this with an assertive outreach and drug safety teams to deliver a wrap around, holistic and connected model of care.

Skills Required
  
The key to your success in this role will be your ability to support the work of the Operations Manager and provide expert clinical guidance to your team and to lead programs that provide a more collegiate service for clients and create solutions relating to clinical care.
  
You will be a talented Manager with a strong sense of social justice and experience working with marginalised cohorts. You will understand the principles of harm minimisation and health promotion. You will have experience leading teams and will have a great passion for helping people achieve great outcomes.
