About the role
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) builds skills and knowledge for the social and economic wellbeing of humanitarian entrants through needs-based case management.
SSI delivers the program in Sydney and regional NSW, supporting refugees and humanitarian entrants to settle quickly, successfully adjust to the changes in their lives, and identify and work towards their education and employment goals.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
The main focus of this role will be to provide administrative support to the ER and BG Booking Team.
- Monitor ER and BG Booking inboxes according to outlined process, including channelling communication to relevant parties and completing all action items promptly
- Monitor and update Internal (CSNet) and external database (HSP) systems and spreadsheets as per SSI Policy and Procedures
- Develop knowledge and understanding of wider HSP program and SSI’s HSP contractual requirements through SSI Policy and Procedures, ensuring that compliance requirements are met at all times
- Document relevant outcomes in the internal database (e.g. CSnet) and DSS HSP System accurately and timely manner as per the HSP contractual requirements and SSI policy and procedures
- Ensure compliance with specified service delivery targets, including Immediate Deliverables, Foundation Settlement Outcomes, record keeping and invoice requirements
SELECTION CRITERIA
You would ideally be an administration assistant with a Certificate IV in Business Administration or Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant experience as essential with excellent office management skills. Working with culturally & linguistically diverse communities with high level of written and spoken English skills would be very favourable. You would have basic quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure. Your experience working with Databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications would be highly desirable. Your Bi Lingual skills would see you succeed in this role.
