The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section is a leading provider of health services across south eastern Australia providing primary health care, health education, emergency evacuation and retrieval services to remote, rural and regional communities.

The Role
  
You will lead the development and implementation of retention and development strategies to achieve the Royal Flying Doctor Service’s aim of becoming best in class in securing and retaining individual donors and, through exceptional communications and supporter care, engaging them more deeply in the organisation’s work in order to maximise loyalty and life time value. Leading a team of 6 fundraising professionals, you will meet ambitious donor retention and income growth targets through:
  

  • significantly enhancing existing supporter relations processes
  • designing and implementing new methods and programs to engage supporters
  • significantly improving supporter retention across regular giving, bequests and middle donors
  • actively promoting upgrades and reactivation strategies
  • working across digital, print, telephone, SMS and social channels
  • managing the integration of fundraising across departments to ensure a full ‘program approach’ to increase the effectiveness of fundraising strategy ambitions

Skills Required
  
With experience in supporter retention, loyalty programs and/or customer relationship marketing (CRM) strategies to drive increased engagement, preferably in a fundraising environment, and a deep understanding of fundraising streams particularly across direct mail, bequests, supporter care and community fundraising, you will be able to demonstrate your abilities in:
  

  • leading, motivating and managing a team to deliver goals
  • successfully developing and implementing a multichannel supporter retention and development strategy
  • knowledge of supporter insight techniques such as surveys, data analysis and focus groups
  • successfully managing multiple projects, project teams and suppliers to achieve KPIs
  • identifying key growth opportunities as part of a team of senior fundraising managers
  • managing a substantial budget and meeting financial and operational targets
