We’re looking for a professional Executive Assistant with event management experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference.

About the role

The role

The Executive Assistant & Events Coordinator is responsible for two core deliverables – first and fore mostly, providing administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Engagement, as well as also providing support with event planning and coordination.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an Executive Assistant who has the following key skills and experiences:

• relevant experience in providing effective administrative support to executive level management and their teams. Includes providing day-to-day office management support such as electronic and hard copy filing, diary and calendar management and screening and responding to calls, receiving visitors and managing emails.
• relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in event management and delivering successful events
• highly creative, with a commitment to delivering new and innovative engagement events and experiences
• well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure within a complex portfolio of responsibilities, requiring flexibility to prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
• strong writing skills and attention to detail with proven ability to proof read documents, and develop high quality reports, presentations and other documentation
• sound judgement, discretion, professionalism and the capacity to work with confidential information
• expertise in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• strong focus on delivering a high level of customer service and proven ability to work autonomously, proactively and effectively as part of a team to identify and resolve problems, make recommendations and achieve outcomes
• understanding of, and empathy with, the values and ideals of the Brotherhood.
• Whilst not essential, advantageous to the role would also be: demonstrated experience using email direct marketing platforms such as Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, IBM Watson
• experience working in a not-for-profit environment.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week.

Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience of the appointee. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
