The Organisation
Multiple sclerosis is the most common acquired neurological disease with more than 2.3 million people affected globally. Australia has a comparatively high incidence of multiple sclerosis and three out of four people affected are women. The average age of diagnosis is between the ages of 20 to 40.
The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are extremely variable for all individuals and can also change over time. The most common symptoms to occur are unusual fatigue, visual disturbance, difficulty walking, pain and altered sensations.
Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) is a Not for Profit organisation, and a leading source of information, advice and services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. The main focus of the organisation is to help minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on individual lives and provide ongoing support to ensure their journey is not undertaken alone.

The Role
You will support the development of the Gift in Wills program and be a key member of the strategic fundraising and marketing department. You will grow the strategy and implement end to end plans and processes, communications and personalised stewardship of confirmed and probable benefactors. This is a permanent, full-time role.
You will also work across the fundraising database management team, liaising with the data analyst and Salesforce representative to realise the full potential of the donor base.
Skills Required
Ideally you will have experience within a fundraising, membership or philanthropic environment and understand the importance of donor or customer care and data-driven strategies. Your ability to listen, understand and work in partnership with individuals and families will enhance the supporter base and increase awareness of our Gift in Wills program.
Your experience will also include:
- The ability to identify opportunities to generate further committed donors and benefactors
- Knowledge of the Australian Gift in Wills or Bequest environment
- Experience and knowledge of CRM systems
- Degree qualified
