About the organisation
The Shepparton-based Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre (a program of ARC Justice) operates primarily in the Goulburn Valley region (LGAs of Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Strathbogie, Benalla, Mansfield and Moira).
About the role

If you are an enthusiastic individual in the final stages of completing a law degree or enrolled in a graduate diploma at an Australian university/institute, we have the ideal training position for you.
You will gain valuable legal skills while working with our lawyers based at the Rumbalara Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in Mooroopna and the GVCLC office in Shepparton.
You will be expected to engage in a range of legal activities, including provision of reception and administrative support, participation in client interviews, preparation of documents and intensive file management, attendance at Court in the company of GVCLC lawyers, providing assistance at night service on a rostered basis, involvement in community education and community development. You will need to be able to work empathetically with Aboriginal clients in a health service environment and alongside GVCLC staff to promote understanding of, and respect for Aboriginal identity and culture across the broader community.
Applicants must have experience in the areas of administration and/or customer service and have an unrestricted driver’s license.
