Who we are
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage – towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive. We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change.

SVA’s Ventures team designs and delivers projects and partnerships (“ventures”) that pilot, prove, share and scale new models to alleviate disadvantage. We have 18 staff in our Ventures team with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Critical to our success is our understanding of the social service ecosystem, our trusted partnerships with service system actors, and our ability to draw from the capabilities of other divisions of SVA.

The Position
SVA has a fantastic part-time, 12-month opportunity on offer for a talented individual interested in applying their Administrative and Team Coordination expertise to our Ventures team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with the Project Manager, the scope of the position is wide-ranging, including supporting the Executive Director and the team with day-to-day operations, providing diary and travel management, supporting finance processes and assisting with special projects to improve operational efficiency across business units.

Who you are
If you are a pro-active individual with excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, this is the role for you. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience in administrative management with proven ability to work across a wide variety of activity, including diary and travel management and supporting finance processes. You will come to the role with experience in prioritising and meeting deadlines, have a strong eye for detail, coupled with a working knowledge of databases such as Salesforce, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office. This position provides exposure to an interesting scope of work in support of addressing disadvantage in Australia.
