Chief Executive Officer

Having somewhere to call home is a challenging proposition for some of our community.  Our client provides a way forward for our communities’ most in need to secure housing through partnerships with government, other housing providers, and support services. We are seeking a proven leader from the community housing sector to lead the organisation as Chief Executive Officer reporting to an exceptional Board of passionate and high quality Directors.

Inspiring and leading a highly capable and committed team, the Chief Executive Officer will need to be deeply connected to the organisation’s purpose ensuring deep partnerships thrive. This is against the backdrop of achieving financial sustainability to ensure services are delivered to a high standard and broadened to the benefit of the community.  The Chief Executive will:

• Drive vision, strategy, performance objectives, and operational plans

• Oversee strong fiscal management, compliance and governance

• Lead the development, provision, and integrity of high quality, client focussed social and affordable housing services

• Deeply engage with the Board, staff, members, and community stakeholders

• Build and maintain a collaborative and respectful internal culture conducive to achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives

• Build highly productive alliances with government, funding bodies, and other community and private sector organisations

• Ensure highly effective corporate and operational functions are well resourced and supported by systems and processes that enable the organisation to thrive

To be successful, you must have some experience and knowledge of the community housing sector – how it is funded and how it operates.  You will be deeply socially oriented with exceptional commercial capability to ensure that the organisation can deliver on its promise to the community and stakeholders.  You will have strong strategic capability and an ability to turn strategy into meaningful action.  Your stakeholder engagement and leadership style will be engaging, passionate, and cause committed.
