Annual Giving Manager, Sydney – Opera Australia

Opera Australia’s Philanthropy Department manages an integrated philanthropy and engagement program to maximise individual giving in support of artistic excellence, production, access activities and the long term goals of the Company. The Company seeks a new Annual Giving Manager, a pivotal senior role within the team with responsibility for managing and growing Opera Australia’s annual giving program in Sydney, including the Patron Program, appeals and other annual giving activities. The role will assist in helping to nurture and build a pipeline of potential major donors to the company, increasing the overall income through philanthropic activity.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and success in managing either annual giving programs, membership programs, major gifts or other philanthropy programs including the acquisition and retention of individuals. With highlight sophisticated interpersonal skills, he/she will be able to build credible relationships easily with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. Fundamental to success in the role will be a passion and enthusiasm for Opera Australia, its work, aspirations and values.
