Giving Manager

We are looking for a transformational fundraising manager, with a strong knowledge of fundraising principles and systems, a track record of results, who is ready to reach beyond the norm. In the world of fundraising we are about to challenge the status quo in Australia and we need a strategic
fundraiser to help us deliver on the promise.

You’re a driven fundraiser with proven success across donor programs; acquisition and retention, but you’ll also be restless. You’re a strategic thinker, an innovator, but currently stuck in a rut. You want to make a difference, particularly in the world of lifesaving medical research, and you believe you can help us do things differently.

This role isn’t for someone who has bounced around fundraising jobs or purports to know “the one best way” because for us, there are many great ways.

You’ll drive the individual donor programs whilst managing a small donor care team and a fundraising coordinator. Working seamlessly with our Partnership, Events & Marketing Managers you’ll endeavour to build a strong and engaged group of donors.

Together we’ll be targeting corporates, major gifts, trust and foundations, hosting and benefiting from events and extolling the virtues of our social enterprise cafes which underpin the foundation. All being driven to drive faster results for research.

We reckon you’ll have a few years of working in donor management or perhaps member development, you’ll absolutely get “fundraising” but aren’t afraid to throw off the shackles to achieve results by “doing it differently”. It’s critical that you can demonstrate a thorough understanding of fundraising principles and database management and evidence how you have achieved success. We want someone who has enabled tangible outcomes.

Finally, as part of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the CEO you’ll share our passion for health and our desire to deliver meaningful outcomes in medical research.
