Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs.
The McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer (the Centre) is a joint initiative of Cancer Council Victoria, the Union for International Cancer Control and Cancer Council Australia. Its mission is to promote the effective use of law for the prevention and control of cancer and other noncommunicable diseases by building knowledge, expertise, capacity and networks at global, regional and domestic levels. The McCabe Centre is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Law and Noncommunicable Diseases and a WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Knowledge Hub.
About the role
About your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Strategy and Operations to join the McCabe Centre senior leadership team. Reporting to the Director, your role is to:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for the Centre
- Lead the development and implementation of engagement strategies for key national and international stakeholders, including McCabe Centre training program alumni
- Create a team culture of continuous learning and improvement, innovation, and high performance
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Degree-level qualification in Law, Business Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated relevant work experience of working in the legal sector
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic, operational and project plans
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing staff
