About the role
Community Engagement Advisor
Negotiable days of work, 19 hours per week

The Opportunity
A newly created part time role as Community Engagement Advisor to lead the engagement and consumer participation strategic plan. Locations in Hawthorn, Richmond and Doncaster East.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate community advisers in the three major municipalities where AccessHC operates
- Provide secretariat support to the Board Community Engagement Committee and local community adviser activities.
- Preparation of agenda in consultation with committee chair
- Preparation of minutes
- Coordination of actions resulting from meetings
- Manage communication between consumers and the wider organisation
- Build capacity of managers and wider staff team in community engagement and consumer participation through the organisation and/or facilitation or professional development
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary-level qualifications in health, health sciences, social services, marketing or another relevant discipline
- At least three years experience in community participation or engagement activities
- Demonstrated competence in working with communities from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work after hours and at weekends as required
- Demonstrated experienced in administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, preparation of meeting documentation
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Customer focused approach to service delivery
