About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a NDIS Service Coordinator to join the Darwin team at CatholicCare NT. This position plays a key role in supporting enhanced outcomes for NDIS participants and those in need of ongoing psychosocial support outside the NDIS. The position will be reporting directly to the General Manager Programs and works closely with Senior Management.
This position has a particular focus on building capacity within CatholicCare NT through building staff NDIS knowledge and expertise across all programs and developing a sustainable general NDIS and psychosocial support service model. Additionally you will manage contracts for mental health programs transitioning to the NDIS and for ongoing psychosocial supports.
We are looking for a candidate who is a team player with ability to work with others in a spirit of trust, respect, reflection and accountability. Key to success within this role will be the knowledge and capability to develop a sustainable NDIS service model for the organisation and oversee service establishment and implementation through strong collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders and staff.
We are looking for a person with:
- Relevant qualification or extensive experience in the disability, social services or mental health services fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to understand and translate data and information to develop appropriate processes, resources, guidelines, service plans and proposals that can be easily understood by staff and other key stakeholders
- Experience in working with the NDIS, particularly in understanding and applying the processes, quality systems and technical requirements and ability to source appropriate resources to meet Scheme requirements
- Experience in working within a community development framework will be highly desirable
