About the role
- 2 x Casual positions, up to 10 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for two Men’s Behaviour Change Program Facilitators to join our Berrimah team within CatholicCare NT. The primary purpose of this role is to co-facilitate the Men’s Behaviour Change Program, initially in the Darwin Region with the possibility of extending into programs being delivered in various remote communities. The position reports directly to the Lead Practitioner Men’s Behaviour Change.
A key aspect of the Facilitators is to assist with the planning, coordination and implementation of activities to support the objectives of the Men’s Behaviour Change Program. Additionally you will be required to work in an integrated fashion with other services at CatholicCare NT, in particular the NO MORE Campaign.
We are looking for a candidate who is a team player with ability to work alongside others in a spirit of trust, respect, reflection and accountability. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills including report and case note writing.
We are looking for a person with:
- Relevant qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Community Development
- Experience in facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs or similar
- Working knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT) and practice or willingness to acquire these
- Willingness to work within an ACT framework
