What’s involved
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has a vision – ‘All Victorians actively participating in their democracy’.
To achieve this, we deliver electoral education and civics programs to a number of external stakeholders.
We need a specialist with experience in social sciences to help us design, evaluate and improve these programs. We want to increase our social impact and embed best practice design and evaluation in our project management procedures.
This specialist will lead and support projects that transform our existing systems and processes, improve our service delivery, and ultimately improve citizens’ experience of, and participation in, elections.
Who we’re looking for
This role combines technical and soft skills and would suit someone with a broad range of capabilities.
In addition to expertise and experience in human-centred design and evaluation methodologies, you need to have a high degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate complex information to numerous audiences.
You’ll ideally have a degree in Social Science or similar discipline and experience in the social innovation field.
Finally, we’re looking for someone who can share their knowledge and upskill their colleagues in design and evaluation practices.
