The Men of League Foundation is a registered charity supporting the men, women and children of the rugby league community in need, throughout Australia.  It operates through a network of volunteer Committees throughout Queensland, NSW, in Melbourne and Perth supported by a small team of professional staff in Sydney & Brisbane.

It is supported by the NRL and raises additional funds through a variety of fundraising activities, Club Grants and through its subscriber Membership base.

It provides financial, social and emotional support to those in need withing the rugby league community.  

About the role

Wellbeing Lead

The Men of League Foundation provides assistance to the men, women and children of the rugby league family. Financial, emotional and social support is provided to players, coaches, referees, officials, volunteers and administrators from all levels of the game when they are experiencing hardship.
It operates through a network of over 500 volunteers in over 40 local Committees throughout NSW, Queensland, in Melbourne and Perth supported by a small team of professional staff in our National Office in Sydney, and our Queensland office in Brisbane.
We are seeking a full time Wellbeing Lead to join our Queensland team situated in Rugby League Central QLD (RLCQ) at Milton. The position will suit someone with an interest in the not for profit wellbeing sector and the rugby league community.

Tasks
The Wellbeing Lead will be required to support volunteer Wellbeing Officers across the committees of Australia to deliver wellbeing grants and assistance to those in need.
This role will be based in Brisbane and work closely with the National Wellbeing Manager to deliver on targets associated with grant spend and number of applicants. The Wellbeing Lead will also be responsible for liaising with local referral partners and other stakeholders including grassroots rugby league clubs to raise awareness about the support available.

Key Responsibilities
 Assist in administering wellbeing operations.
 Ensure Wellbeing Officers are well supported to complete grant applications and meet all regulatory requirements.
 Liaise with the rugby league community, Committee volunteers, members and wellbeing service providers in a professional and constructive manner, building strong relationships
 Identify, recruit, support and assist in the professional development of our volunteer Wellbeing Officers
 Manage in consultation with the National Wellbeing Manager, formal Grant Applications for financial support
 Maintain the Wellbeing database and prepare reports on wellbeing initiatives and outcomes
 Case manager wellbeing beneficiaries with complex support needs
 Participate in organizational service planning and strategic planning

Selection Criteria
 Experience in wellbeing or community services.
 Experience in public speaking and engaging people from diverse backgrounds
 A clear understanding of Rugby League and our community needs.
 Previous experience in a Not For Profit organisation and working with volunteers desirable
 Demonstrated empathy for others and a non-judgemental disposition.
 Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively.
 Sound organisational and administrative skills.
 Proven ability to work as part of a team.
 A desire to help people.
 Intermediate IT skills, including and understanding of databases
 Strong verbal communication skills
 Demonstrated capacity to multi-task.
 Strong networking skills and ability to build positive relationships.
 Current drivers license
