About the organisation
Since 2003 Red Room Poetry has grown to be Australia’s leading organisation for the creation and commissioning of new poetry by established and emerging poets as well as students.
Reflecting the diversity of contemporary Australian voices, Red Room embraces all styles of poetry (page, performance, hip-hop, rap, visual) promoting the form across a range of languages and mediums including radio, stage, installation, digital publishing initiatives and learning programs. This has seen Red Room poets collaborating with First Nations communities, composers, botanists, inmates, educators, truck drivers, sea captains, translating poetry into 25+ languages and developing Australia's first interactive poetry mapping app featuring 200+ commissioned poems.

About the role
Red Room Poetry is a not-for-profit organisation that creates poetic projects and learning programs. Working with poets, schools, communities and partners, creating positive impact in areas of environment, First Nations, youth and marginalised communities. Our mission is to make poetry accessible to all, especially those who face the greatest barriers to creative opportunities
Red Room Poetry is looking for candidates to join its Board. We would like to hear from energetic, enthusiastic and committed applicants with the following experience:
