About the role
Employment type:Permanent ongoing 15.2 hrs per week (0.4 FTE). Hours of work are flexible and could be spread over three days.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic community minded individual to lead the volunteer program at Sunbury Community Health. As a member of the Building Healthy Communities Team you will contribute to the success of the organisation by assisting us to achieve our organisational aim of ‘weaving the social fabric’ of Sunbury through volunteer engagement. You will work with internal and external stakeholders building relationships and participation and engagement pathways through the health centre and into the broader Sunbury community.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, selection, induction and training of volunteer personnel to work alongside health professionals, staff and clients in Sunbury Community Health programs and services. The position is also accountable for liaising with health professionals and staff to identify opportunities for volunteer placement within programs and services. This work is central to community participation and engagement outcomes for the organisation.
Working closely with the Executive Manager—Building Healthy Communities, you will engage in projects and initiatives that will at all times align with the organisation’s vision, mission and strategy and ultimately support a values-based culture.
