BGF is Australia’s longest serving community-based HIV organisation committed to providing support and care to enable people living with HIV (PLHIV) to thrive.
Founded in 1984, BGF undertakes a range of supports that address issues of long-term social isolation and economic poverty for people living with HIV in NSW and SA.
Services include direct financial and practical assistance, financial counselling, community support services, and programs that build resilience and self-management using a client-centred, strengths-based model of care.

About the role
Your primary focus is to coordinate activities related to all internal and external communication that involves content in digital media. Additionally you will support BGF’s fundraising events program and contribute to the annual marketing and fundraising plan.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 45.6 hours per fortnight, based in Surry Hills, Sydney.
About you
To meet the challenges of this role you must address the following criteria:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering digital communications content
- Strong understanding of the social media platforms available and emerging, and how best to optimise them to meet BGF’s comms objectives
- Excellent written communication skills; the ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive content
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a related field
- Experience in grant writing
- An understanding of the range of issues for people living with HIV
